What Can Funds Be Used For?
Funding can be used by YMCAs or Charitable Food Organizations interested in increasing access to healthy food by adopting or enhancing specific:
1.Food Service Guidelines (for example, improving the food and beverage options available for purchase during sporting events and/or in vending machines,
2.Healthy Eating Research (HER),
3.Food Is Medicine (FIM),
4.Fruit and Vegetable Vouchers (FVV), and/or,
What Will Awardees Receive?
- Up to $2,499 to implement their proposed project.
- Guidance from the G-SPAN team.
- Recognition on G-SPAN’s website and social media platforms.
- Connection to other awardees and members of G-SPAN’s network.
- All required reporting templates.
